Update on Gabe & the Olympic Trials

Here is an update on Gabe from his wife's blog. Praise be to God!

An Amazing Week is what she entitled the blog entry.

She says, "God is so good, ALL the time. We have had such an amazing time at the Olympic Trials. Gabe swam his fastest times ever! The venue and the crowds were incredible. And the times of fellowship we had with friends was so encouraging! And all of you who were watching, cheering and praying with us made it such an overwhelming experience. Thank you all so much. I think the thing that is standing out to me so much this week are the opportunities God gave Gabe to be a light to others. Gabe really tried to take hold of every opportunity to share Christ with others. This is the mark that the Lord has allowed him to leave on the swimming world. I am so thankful to be his wife!! This has been an amazing week and we are so grateful! Today we are going to relax, enjoy Omaha (which has actually become one of my favorite places:) and go watch the Trials tonight together:) We can't wait to see all of you when we get home! Love you all!"

As of today, Gabe did not make the Olympic Team but a legacy was left in the USA swimming world of a man who swam for the glory of God, lived a life of integrity and submission to God's Word and faithfully proclaimed the gospel to those the Lord put in his path whenever he had the chance. We are so proud of Gabe and are thankful for the many ways the Lord has used this man's life to make a impact for the gospel in this dark field. We proud of you, Gabe and are so thankful for God's grace in your life and your faithfulness to Christ! You are an example to us all!
